They always ask for one when we’re out shopping if we pass a smoothie bar, but they can work out expensive when you’re buying for a couple of kids. This Strawberry and Banana smoothie is the formula I use to mix up our own smoothies at home – for a fraction of the cost in the shops! You can use any fruit you like, it’s just what my kids prefer. It’s so quick and easy (it only takes a couple of minutes to prepare), the only tool you’ll need is a blender or food processor.
What you need:
3-4 small/medium bananas
150g strawberries (approx half a punnet)
300ml orange juice
250g (approx 1/2 pot) low fat natural yogurt
1-2 tsp runny honey (optional)
Place all your ingredients into a blender/food processor.
Blend on a high speed until smooth.
Pour, serve and enjoy!
